Our Story
In 2017, Rachel and Josh Prezyna started their home garden with the intent to raise organic food for their own use. They were successful and started planning for the following year. In 2019, they extended their passion to a family field that had not been farmed for decades. The biology of the soil was untouched by chemicals and was very rich in all the components for raising healthy crops. Since the field and their own home garden would yield more than they needed, Rachel decided to start a roadside business. Thus Grandpa's Produce Shop was started.
Our Farming
Grown without Compromise
Grandpa’s Produce Shop concentrates on the development of healthy soil the way it is naturally intended. Our garden is full of healthy living soil that impacts plant, human and animal health. We biologically amend our soil and monitor it for environmental flourishment and carbon footprint reduction. As a result, our produce exceeds organic in taste and nutritional value.
In Fall 2019, we laid hay on our newest field in order to build its biology for Spring planting. Our 2020 harvest was exceptional.
